“ Had the 2 meat plate with sliced BBQ beef, jalapeno sausage, pinto beans, and fried okra. Also the fried pickles as an appetizer. Washed down with a 25 oz Shiner. Everything was awesome. Our waitress was Robin and she was great. Great job Republic BBQ. ”
“ The bbq is good here! The brisket really stands out as our favorite. Its very moist and has a really good flavor. The ribs, chicken, and sausage were also good. The ribs are a little peppery so if you like some spice, you would really love the ribs. The bbq sauce is a good compliment to the bbq, but it’s got a slight kick to it. The sides are all solid. The mac and cheese is always a good option. The pickles here are so addicting too. They are cut thick and have a great flavor. They have a bar on the inside and tvs to watch sports. It’s a nice place to grab a drink and hang out if you are into that. Overall I would recommend checking out this place. It’s good to have a bbq joint back in West Columbia. ”

We had a “brisket stuffed tater” and a brisket plate with potato salad and cream corn as sides. Every item was finger licking good! Lastly had the roughneck cobbler and it was too delish! “ I drove an hour to West Columbia for work, and decided to try Republic for lunch. The brisket grilled cheese was amazing, great crunch and flavor. The BBQ sauce has a good tang to it, definitely places high on my list. Long story short, I will drive my family the hour here to enjoy dinner one night soon. ”

“ So glad I stopped here! I had a chopped brisket sandwich, mac and cheese, and a banana pudding. The sandwich is flavorful and satisfying, and you can really taste the smoke on the brisket. Their sauce is good, too. The mac and cheese was good quality, with a nice cheesey flavor. The banana pudding was HUGE and they used ripe bananas, though I did think the pudding was just this side of set, at least to my liking. Not watery or anything, but a little loose. Their prices are maybe a bit high, but I don't mind paying them. You'd pay about the same at most BBQ places these days. The interior is very trendy, and has a fun atmosphere. Service was definitely a highlight, and I felt like everyone went above and beyond in a way I'm definitely not used to seeing in the big city lol! ”
